AgDRIFT®

What is AgDRIFT® 2.0.xx

AgDRIFT® was developed as a joint project with the Spray Drift Task Force (SDTF), the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s ERL Laboratory in Athens GA,  the United States Department of Agriculture, ARS, the United States Department of Agriculture, Forest Service.  In fact the aerial application mode of AgDRIFT ®is a special case of the AGDISP (US Forestry Service Model). Both models use a Lagrangian particle trajectory to track droplets in the turbulent flow fields near the application. AgDRIFT® has been specially modified to evaluate the downwind deposition or “drift” and provide empirical solutions of ground and orchard applications.

The AgDRIFT® User Manual explains the key elements and operation of the model. Be sure to read the manual before you start your project.

The User manual refers to AgDRIFT® modes as Tier I aerial, Tier II aerial Tier III aerial, and Tier I ground and orchard.  Tier I and Tier II aerial modes were specifically developed for the EPA / OPP  risk assessment process, and are not included with this version of AgDRIFT.  However, these tiered results can be quickly and easily recreated using the input values provided in the user's manual.
